2022-23 NDIS Pricing Updates Released

The NDIA has just released the 2022-2023 NDIS pricing arrangements and if you (or someone in your family or someone you care for) are a NDIS participant, it’s important that you understand the changes.

What is the NDIS Price Guide?

The NDIA (National Disability Insurance Agency) sets price limits for disability supports received by NDIS participants. These are outlined in the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits for 2022-23 (previously known as the NDIS Price Guide).

The price list is reviewed and published annually to assist NDIS participants and disability support providers.

Price limit increases for support work

From 1st July 2022, price limits for all NDIS supports delivered by disability support workers are going to increase by 9 percent, including a 2 percent temporary loading in 2022-23 (reviewed annually).

The price limit increase takes into account cost pressures on providers to deliver supports, such as:

  • Costs associated with managing the impact of COVID-19
  • New provisions in the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry (SCHADS) Award, including changes in minimum payments

The good news is that participants’ plans will be indexed and all current NDIS plan budgets will be automatically increased to account for these price limit changes.

Support Coordination and Plan Management to remain at 2021 price levels

There will be no changes to the current price limits for Support Coordination services. Price limits for plan management fees will be maintained at the 2021 price limits as well, while the NDIA conducts further in-depth reviews.
