Supported Independent Living

If you have Supported Independent Living (SIL) funding in your NDIS plan, Access Recreation can support you to live as independently as possible in your home with skilled support staff on hand 24 hours a day.

SIL support assists you to live on your own, or in a house with other people, while receiving services to assist with daily living. This can include help with shopping, cooking, cleaning, showering, dressing, getting to appointments or going out.

We will work closely with you and your family or carers to determine your personal goals, needs and preferences, health or medical requirements, areas of interest, and support your participation in the community.

We assist people to live independently, either in group or shared accommodation settings or as a single occupant in their own home, while receiving daily living supports.

SIL services can include:

  • Providing personal care and daily living support
  • Helping you with budgeting and shopping
  • Support to attend appointments
  • Maintaining health and well being
  • Support with creating new social networks and for visiting family
